Google unveils web-TV offering

Google has unveiled Google TV , an interface for web-based television. The Google TV platform is driven by search and easy access to content, integrating web browsing and standard TV content into a Google Chrome-powered platform. Google proposes that the TV will act as a hub for gaming, photo viewing, TV and internet content.

ITV in advanced talks to broadcast online on Hulu

The online video service Hulu, currently available only to users in the US, is talking with the main local broadcasters about launching in the UK. It says its discussions are most advanced with ITV, which is 'weeks away' from signing a content deal.

Hulu is offering UK broadcasters an equity stake in return for the right to broadcast full-length programmes on its website.
